baby jail

I got the pack and play out, yesterday, and set it up -- THANK YOU RAYAN AND GAGE!! Danny was calling it baby jail and cracking us up. I think it will come in more handy when Aaron is older.

I put him down for his nap...this lasted about 10 minutes. Although, it might have something to do with all the flashing light. I was taking pictures!!

too much excitement

Yesterday, Brian was hosing off the porch when a snake came slithering towards him....you see how big it is right? He called me outside to see. I went and got the shovel from the shed. While I was around back, the snake came at him again but he held it off with the hose--that only made him MORE MAD! Our neighbor, Mr. Lilly came over to see all the fuss. I had to climb over the porch rail to get back inside. Mr. Lilly said it was a black snake and they like to eat mice--what? I hope it didn't find any around MY house!!
Here's Mr. Lilly with the prize. His grand-daughter came over with him to "help". He's taking the snake to throw it in the woods behind his house. So much drama!!

off to the races

Danny went to the Nascar race, in Charlotte, with his friend, Jake, this weekend. I would like to have pictures--but I didn't want to send my camera unsupervised! Brian, Aaron and I went to this place called Kelly's to eat. It's a lot like the Beanery back home. We got sandwiches and split them--a Reuben and a crab cake samich. The Reuben was de-lish. I know Brian was sad he had to give me half! I'm going to the beach in 6 weeks--like I need to be eating all those carbs!!Anywho, Aaron wanted to wear a hat like Daddy does. Aaron's hat is plaid like his overalls! Aren't these boys cuties?

Aaron being good as usual--I'm on the other side of the table dipping my Reuben in thousand island dressing.

odds and ends

"What's for dinner? cheerios?"
Brian and Danny put the high chair together when Aaron and I were in WV last weekend.
What a big boy!

Thanks again Uncle Phil and Barb.

Aunt Kelli's always good for some "new" stuff! She sent this little gem down with Mamaw and Papaw a few weeks ago.

Look at him exercise!

baseball videos

Danny's team won their game last night. Their last game will be tomorrow. I got some really good videos. Here's Aaron and Stasha--she's our bat girl--isn't she cute? Her dad is one of the coaches and her brother plays on the team. She's always ready to help me with the baby! Aaron laughs and laughs when she talks to him.

Danny just stole second and David's hit brought him home. FYI--that's Stasha's brother.

kindergarten graduate

My nephew, Joel, graduated from Kindergarten Thursday. Here he is with his classmates. Joel is 4th from the left. He is so grown up. I admit, I cried a little when they marched in the auditorium.
So serious.
"Jacob, do you have anything to eat?? I'm starving!"
Joel's cheering section. Aaron was so good for the festivities. He just sat and looked around at all the kids.

danny's game

This is an old picture. Of course, I didn't have my camera last night--that means no video either. Danny had a double, a single, and walked. He was 2 for 2 and scored twice. Like Eli says--We beat those guys big time. The whole team did real well. They had hot bats last night! The final score was 12-3. We are 9-1-2. We tied 2 games because of time limits. I'm a little sad because baseball is almost over. We better go far in the tournaments! That means more baseball!!

you're leaving?

My parents were down for Mother's Day weekend. This was Aaron's reaction when Danny told him Mamaw and Papaw had to go bye byes on Sunday.
"Already? -- but you just got here."
I have lots of great photos from our time together...ones of Danny's game and Aaron not crying! I'll post them later. I have to go now because Aaron has no patience-and I mean no patience- when it's time to eat. Maybe he's afraid he'll waste away.....right!

happy boy

I went to get Aaron Friday morning and this is what I found. I think he was so excited because he knew Mamaw and Papaw were coming for the weekend. His pajama pants really aren't too big--he tries to pull them off his feet (like anytime he wears socks) and gets them all stretched out!
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. Especially my mom, Kelli, Dawn, and Kristen. I have such great role models!

rolling over

Photo Sharing - Upload Video - Video Sharing - Share Photos
Aaron decided he wanted a different view! He rolled over last Sunday, and I finally got it on video. He's been on his back the past couple mornings when I went to get him out of bed--- he sleeps on his belly. He rolls over so he can talk to the airplanes on his mobile.

my toes

Hey, wait a minute, what are these?
Look Mommy!! I found my toes!
Aaron found his tootsies the other day and now he won't leave them alone. He'll lay for hours...well, not hours...but a while in "baby time" playing with his feet.
I took him to the doctor yesterday. He weighed 15 lbs. 9 oz. He was 26 inches long. He's getting so big! He wore this horizontal- striped mock turtleneck to his appointment. Although, I'm not sure it's the right shirt for his body type.
Trust me he wasn't this happy when we got home. He had to get 4 shots and he was FIRED UP!
Poor baby

danny's game

We won again, Saturday. YAY!! I'm not sure of the score because I was working concession. Danny had a nice hit, but they still got him out. Here he is at 2nd--ready for some action. I did get some good pictures, though. Oddly enough, the concession stand is located right behind home plate. Thank goodness for the fence!!

He looks thrilled, right?

hey hillbilly

I love my new overalls...
and being barefoot!
Yay West Virginia!

go danny

Danny's team won on Monday 5-3. I think--I know we won, though. We played the Nationals. Danny goes to school with a couple kids on that team, so it's nice to be on the winning end! They played a good game, though. Aaron fell asleep. It was a late night for him--9:30. Again, I have no videos or action shots. Mom's right. They are hard to capture.

mmmm....cereal

We fed Aaron cereal for the first time the other day. We were afraid he wasn't gaining enough weight--too skinny--ha ha just kidding! Once he got the hang of it, I couldn't feed him fast enough. Mom told me Jeff used to cry when he heard the spoon clank the empty food jar--so Aaron gets it honest!
He had some extra in his cheeks.

He lunges at the spoon to make sure he gets every morsel!
